Neil – Yes, true the internet is used for all sorts of purposes. I can see your point, but I think mostly what bothers me is when people don’t respond or follow others back. But like you say, everyone has their own choice. Thanks for sharing.

As with most things having a balance usually works. You need to respond like in any friendship. Who wants a one way relationship? Go talk to yourself elsewhere.

Long conversations where people @ each other can be a little annoying too.
