Around March of 2008, Alice Seba invited me to discuss outsourcing with her. At that time I was using her outsourcing services, above is the recording of the interview.

During the interview we discussed some of the challenges of working with assistants. We talked about when I wasn’t planning projects out very well and one of my downfalls were not placing a deadline for a project this can hamper the success of your outsourcing experience.

We also discussed how my planning has changed. It is important to plan ahead so you know what tasks should be outsourced for the month. By outsourcing these tasks, it provides you with the time for long range planning of your business allowing you to grow not only your business but also your income.

My planning takes place the old-fashioned way with pen and paper away from the computer, jotting down notes in my notebook. Avoiding the distraction of the computer helps me to focus on my needs and to plan accordingly.

Listen to the audio interview to find out how you can successfully outsource to grow your business. Coming up next I’ll share with you how I’ve turned my business on it’s head and shaken it up a bit.

I love the interview Vera, outsourcing is a such a great resource especially for the lone online entrepeneur trying to make a living online, as there are always way too many tasks and never enough time.

Outsourcing is the new game in the business. It has a lot of benefits including lower investments and saving of time. Although you may be used to the old fashioned way, the new age tech des have its benefits. Do try to check these out..such as auto reminders, autoreplies, auto check, etc..Helps in the business a long way..

Having worked with outsourced projects for quite some time I can’t really say it’s a new game AND I can’t say outsourcing is cheaper. In the long run the only problem that outsourcing solves is lack of knowledge and proper management, but does it, usually, at a premium.

IM – yes tis true, there’s always so much to do!

Vibe – I use Basecamp and also have Google Calendar email me my events everyday.

Vlad – I don’t use outsourcing due to a lack of knowledge, I have people that do very specific tasks for my business on a regular basis, this keeps my hands free for other things.
