Don’t Put Anything Off: Get Things Done Today

Posted on April 27, 2009 by Vera Raposo

Don’t put anything off, if you want something done for your business, get it done right now. :-)

I’ve been very blessed this last while, I was able to stand by my daughter’s side through her bone marrow replacement. I can tell you it’s something else to be able to grab the laptop and stay inside the isolation room with her all the while. The beauty of the internet!

We’ve been back home for a month but it hasn’t been easy, thankfully she’s completely healed now, cancer free! and we’re just waiting on her appointments coming up for radiation. Not easy for a 16 year old kid.

You may think since I was stuck in a hospital for months on end that I probably didn’t get alot accomplished while I was in there. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Actually, I’ve developed some very great relationships and partners in the last while and I’m looking forward to sharing with you things I’ve been working on.

One thing that I’ve been following along is Darren Rowse’s 30 Days to a Better blog. It’s free to follow along and each day I’ve been taking his challenge and copying it into a Google Doc. I’m not doing the challenge every day like some, but I will get to each day as I go along and have some spare time. It’s a great challenge, and the first day I’ll be implementing is to follow another successful blog.

Not to copy what they’re doing, but to see what “works” in the industry. What keeps people coming back, participating, and commenting. I’ll take away the things that I like and implement those.

You can join Darren’s challenge Here.

If you haven’t seen his challenge yet, it’s located here. Also, I’m a member over at Yaro’s new program Membership Site Mastermind program, I always love to follow his work and what he’s up to these days.

If you’re looking to grow a recurring income on the internet, starting membership sites is certainly the way to go. :-)

>> You can download Yaro’s free report here.

That’s it from me today, Have a GREAT day!

I think your headline is great advice, getting things done today instead of putting them off for later is something that we usually find hard to do but is actually a great technique for productivity. Once you get in the habit, things feel like they’re going much more smoothly because you’re not always bogged down with lots of stuff you’ve put off from before. Oh, and, congratulations to you and your daughter on the successful procedure. It must have been extremely tough.

Life is too short to put stuff off. I’ve learned to just go for it, not to waste time, and not to wait.

Absolutely right; if you procrastinate for too long, not only will you get off track, but you can miss opportunities that would have otherwise helped you out in the long run.

Glad to hear your daughter is all right, too!

I need serious motivation sometimes, especially when it comes to housework! But yesterday I cleaned and tidied the WHOLE house, inside, out, top to bottom and left to right! I planned the attack the night before, woke up at 7.30am (that’s very early for me) and i didn’t stop to think about it.

Gorilla marketing in today’s economy is everything, marketing to get through the recession!
If your interested in web optimization for your site, there is a free site for uploading video ads for your business, they also have image uploads if you are not yet up to videos. The more sites you can link to the greater your market will be. They have a free link exchange as well.

I am a big believer in going back to the basics. Quit often I find that I’ve dropped a task or evolved a habit that has taken me off my original mark, especially in blogging or business.

I like the phrase that you use “people coming back, participating, and commenting”. Sometimes looking at “old” information a new idea springs forth. I am looking forward to learning from you this time around. Thanks for doing this.
