[...] First off, thank you for all of your prayers and support while my son was in the hospital. He’s doing wonderful now. It looks like there will be no side effects and he’ll grow up to be a completely normal kid - or as normal as one can be in our house. It was awesome to see you guys reach out with love and advice. Now, I’m back in the swing of things and ready to help you grow your business! [...]

Hi Nick,

I just picked up on your blog via the Small Business Branding feed I'm subscribed to, and I have to say - you struck a chord.

I myself have Transposition of the Great Arteries AND a hole in the heart. They did try and fix me when I was a kid but gave up after several attempts (still have the scars to prove it though).

In my case, one problem would have killed me, the other saved me.

25 years later, I'm still here - still healthy (well, as healthly as I can be), still going strong.

I just want to wish all 3 of you the best, I hope and am confident your son will make a full recovery (the wonders of medical science!).

Cheers,

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have been there. My son, now 13, was born with tricuspid atresia, pulmonary stenosis and an aortic right ventricle. He has undergone numerous operations (7) to "fix" the problem. I am very glad that Will's problem is much less complex. Please remember to eat and sleep properly, if you are doing well he will do even better. They bounce back so quickly you will be amazed. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and a very special homecoming will happen very soon.

Thank you for all of the kind comments. Will had surgery yesterday and everything went well. The doctors are really pleased with his results so far. Keep the prayers coming. He has a couple weeks of recovery to go.

My prayers are with you and your family when your little one goes through the surgery.

I am sure the tough guy will do fine and recover well after the surgery.

May God be with you during the anxious moments during and after the surgery.
