Thanks for offering to help me in my rookie entrepreneurial efforts.
    * My business provides the following product/service: Creo Quality, LLC provides product development-related services to medical device companies.
    * My biggest business problem at the moment is: I have decent leads and one part-time project. My biggest issue is getting that second and third project lined up so that I may be 100% on my own. I have a family to support, along with other “essentials” (i.e. mortgage, car payments).
    * I would like advice on how to: A) Become debt free. B) Land deals that tap into my expertise in medical device product development. C) Land deals that feel more like hobbies and less like work.

    Again, thanks!

I would have to say that some weaknesses i am currently facing are in the following areas

Decision Making – I would like some insight on developing solid decision-making skills
Motivation – Motivating yourself to keep going through all the “crap” you sometimes face when starting a business
Planning (Marketing, Business, etc.) – I’d like to see some “live” examples of how others have done this sort of thing. What works and what does not… etc.

Naturally no one wants to admit they are weak in certain areas but i feel very comfortable admitting i am a novice at some things. :D

Hi, my name is Ed and I provide brand consulting services. The biggest problem I face at the moment is initiating cold calls. I’d like the panel’s thoughts on how not to be terrified of the telephone reciever? I have a good script but I am very hesitant to pick up the reciever and make the call. I view the problem being one of a ‘personal’ nature.

What I mean here is in networking situations, public speaking and face to face interactions, I am very comfortable and in my zone. I am able to sell my personality -I’m told I’m very passionate about what I do and it shows when I discuss it with people.

On the telephone though, they could be cutting their toenails for all I know. I feel a disconnect and frankly knowing that it’s a numbers game doesn’t make it any more comfortable. I don’t want to waste their time anymore than wasting mine.

    Your thoughts?
