FREE Pocket Consultants

By Ed Roach On October 16, 2007 Under Branding, Employer Branding, Marketing, Personal Branding

On a daily basis I read articles on blogs and forums on branding, marketing and sales. I check keywords and general discussions to see why so many people are out here searching. What is it we are looking for? I recently launched my first eStore and I’m building traffic. Other readers are looking for ways to increase their sales as well. We all know that the web is an incredible source for gaining knowledge on any topic. Every week, I submit an article to Small Business Branding on topics relevant to the site. We (the writers) all know the site is well attended and many read our opinions. My own personal bench mark for judging an article a success is the comments area. If one of my opinions gets a lot of comments, then I feel good that someone read something that touched them enough to encourage them to post their thoughts on the topic.

What I’d love to know is whatever it was that brought you to Small Business Branding and then caused you to linger a while and gather information – did you find the answer? Are there any questions you had that simply were not addressed in the articles archived here? I encourage you to ask that question here and now. There are several branding experts at SBB who would love the opportunity to provide the information you seek in the form of an article. I get this exact kind of request in my monthly newsletters. Recently, as a matter of fact, a reader wanted to know how they might encourage their superior to engage in a branding process that would help to re-invigorate their brand. The latest issue addressed that request. This helps us to make sure that we are of value to you the reader.

I regularly ask questions of this type on many forums. When I can help it makes me into a sort of pocket consultant to my readers. What sort of answers are you looking for to increase sales through a stronger brand experience? Your pocket consultants are off the clock and waiting to serve.

For 25 years or so I have developed positioning strategies for small businesses that helps to differentiate them. I appreciate working with companies who see the value of going beyond mere slogans and have a desire to sell from compelling positions. Opportunities come to light in every discussion. I consult predominantly with small business and and implement the solutions developed. I've had the pleasure of being interviewed in all media regarding branding small business, most recently in "America's Best" magazine and the "Christian Radio & Music Industry" trade magazine. I am available for speaking engagements and I have authored "The Reluctant Salesperson", an Introvert's Guide to Selling. Contact me if you are looking for practical advice on bringing your corporate brand to the next level. I also have international speaking experience including a recent event in Prague, Czech Republic. I am currently working on a branding conference in Mumbai, India for next year. The best Internet-shop is Quixtar – it’s known all over the world. The have the best way to sell products and services

Hi, Ed.

I read SBB daily and I wanted to thank you and your colleagues about the great articles.

I am much interested in Personal branding as I think that all of us are brands – strong, popular, funny or stupid brands :) . In our lives we have to brand ourselves on daily basis. Those who succeed to brand themselves, they succeed in life! :)

I have a second question. I don’t know if this is the right place… anyway… How can I know the requirements and the procedure to become one of you :) ) I mean – to become an author in Small Business Branding?

Thank you once again and good luck!
William
